Professor of Economics Helen Popper spoke about the significance of business analytics in the current business environment in an article from Poets&Quants for Undergrads. With business analytics concentrations at the forefront of many universities’ initiatives looking to transform their students’ learning towards more relevant business practices today, Popper stresses that business analytics is a growing area. Popper references the U.S. Department of Labor, which estimates that the industry will be hiring more students in this industry in the next few years.

“The ability to collect and make sense of a vast amount of data has transformed industries and there’s more to come,” Popper tells Poets&Quants for Undergrads. “Students want to be part of the transformation.”
